FEATURES:
“Q” Head– top perfomer (Q/QT models) In-the-quill 
 disintegrator head gives continuous, reliable, 
 heavy-duty service for the most demanding applications.
 Low-maintenance construction and design. The head
 is 31 /4" diameter, hard chromed and precision
 ground with .002 run-out and 9" of vertical rack
 and pinion travel. 
 Thermal protection cutout with Operator Alert
 can prevent expensive damage. 
 
Operating Head:  Head works by creating 50/60 positive 
 arcs per second at the target metal with a molybdenum
 electrode. Provides 9” (229 mm) of rack and 
 pinion travel. Built-in LED current monitoring
 indicator color-coded to assist operator feed control.
 Operate at any angle. Can be rotated 360 degrees 
 around the crossarm axis. Feed scale graduated 
 in 1 /16” (1 mm) increments.  IQ head can handle small
 0-80 (1.2 mm) up to 2” (50 mm) diameter
 tooling in one pass.
 
Automatic Feed Transistorized feed provides 9" 
 uninterrupted feed for hands-free operation. 
 Eliminates operator error, maximizes performance,
 minimizes electrode usage. Features adjustable 
 automatic shutoff, auto stop, variable 2-speed, 
 feed rate selector and plug-in integrated circuit
 board. 
 
Superstructure:  Column: Hard chrome plated, 23 /4” (70 mm) 
 diameter x 50” (1270 mm) high for a maximum working
 height of 30” (762 mm) from spindle tip to table and 
 72” (1828 mm) to the floor. Base secured by 3 /4” (19 mm)
 Tbolts allowing disintegrating head to be positioned
 anywhere on the work surface. Radial Crossarms: 
 Two hardened 36" (914 mm) shafts 11 /2-inch (38 mm)
 diameter, traveling in recirculating ball bearings. 
 Crossarm casting rotates 360° around column. 
 Separate manual locks for height and rotation and
 a 12-inch (305 mm) lift rack for precise vertical
 positioning. 
 
Base:  Heavy reinforced frame construction. 
 Overall: 31 x 317 /8” (787 x 810 mm), 34” (864 mm) high. 
 Ground, cast iron work top 26 x 181 /4” (660 x 464 mm). 
 Six 3 /4” (19 mm) “T” slots, coolant spill trough 
 and drain. Recessed control panel with oil-tight 
 lighted push buttons, low coolant level indicator 
 light, external fuses, and master stop push-pull switch. 
 Supported by four heavy-duty ball bearing casters 
 and machine levelers. 
 
Built-in coolant tank:  Wire mesh cartridge filter
 intake. Pump: 2 GPM, 90 PSI. Motor 1 /3 HP, 
 single phase, 120 volt. Power coolant cable 
 (conducts both liquid coolant and 
 low-voltage current) 71 /2 ft. (2.3 m). 
 
Machine has the following option:  
 3000 lb. Permanent Magnetic Base For taking
 disintegration off the table.
